Management Team
Mark Turner
– President Systems Division/Chief Operating Officer; Over 25 years
experience in the telecommunications industry with DSC Communications
Corporations, Alcatel USA, Broadband Gateways and Value-Added
Communications. Mark has extensive experience in operations, customer
service, sales/marketing, and manufacturing. His background includes
digital switching and transmission systems with a sales to support scope.
Mark has significant international experience as General Manager of DSC Puerto
Rico in addition to work performed in Taiwan, Japan, Germany, Denmark, England
and Israel.
Steve Hodge – Founder, Chief Technology Officer; Steve has over 30 years in the telecommunications industry with KTI Corporation and VAC. Steve is the chief architect of VAC’s call processing platform.
Tad Summerfield
– President Services Division; Tad joined VAC in the fall of 2000 after
serving 12 years with GTE Telephone Operations and 2 years with Verizon
Corporation. Tad has spent most of his career serving in various Sales,
Marketing, Product Management, Business Development, and Customer Service roles
throughout the Public Communications / Inmate Calling industry.
Brian Galke
– Director of Service Management; Brian has been with Value-Added Communications (VAC)
for over six years. He has oversight of all VAC field technicians and acts as the internal
customer advocate and post sales support for all sites. Brian is responsible for customer
support, information acquisition and the day-to-day account management.
Gamal Mohed
– Director of Manufacturing/Operations; Gamal directs the system integration and site
deployment of VAC systems. Gamal oversees second level escalation support for TAC.
He administers training and support for all customer sites and serves as the liaison
between the customer and VAC during the system build and installation process.
